Nora Dunn was part of the first great Saturday Night Live cast (1985-1991) after the charter troupe. And she's had a pretty fine TV and movie career ever since. She brought her new one-woman show to the Bartell Theatre this weekend to benefit the Mercury Players Theatre. An extended conversation with a funny and talented woman who's proud to be middle-class and from Middle America.
One year ago, we were deep in the misery and mystery of the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. An in-depth conversation with the Washington Post's Joel Achenbach, whose exceptional new book, A Hole in the Bottom of the Sea: The Race to Kill the BP Oil Gusher [Simon and Schuster], makes sense of it all.
