Live on King Street

Has anybody been to these? I wanted to go last week and again this week. Do you need a free ticket? Is it too crowded? What time do the headliners usually come on?

Hmm. It might have changed from last summer. I went to 2 concerts last summer. I just wandered in and sat on the curb in front of Ancora.
The main acts did not start until later in the evening say 8:00 or later. They sold beer outside but you had to produce an ID and get a wristband to consume outdoors.
Needless to say my info is rather sketchy. I will say I had a rather nice time early in the evening but I never stayed later than 7:30 pm.

The crowd can be somewhat sketchy, too. A lot of bar people. Mostly young adults, but some older people, and some families with kids there. But it's free live music on a warm Summer Friday night so I enjoyed it. I've gone to a couple of these in the last two years and liked them. Depends on a lot on the band, of course. I will start going to the August shows.
