W.A.S.P.

Postby Right Bower » Fri Feb 12, 2010 11:00 am

Is anyone besides me going to the W.A.S.P. show at Scatz on March 7? Bullet Boys are opening.

It's gonna be hot.

Saving my money for Coolio and Toneloc both also coming to Scatz this spring. Washed up rappers are sooo much cooler than washed up rockers.

I'm considering it.

I first saw W.A.S.P. when they opened for Metallica at Headliners.

Tone Loc's "Wild Thing" is nothin' compared to WASP's "Animal (I Fuck Like a Beast)."

C'mon.

Tone Loc's "Wild Thing" stole VH's "Jaime's Cryin' " guitar riff.
And that W.A.S.P. song is completely ridiculous, especially now (cuz they're old).
That being said, I don't think you can go wrong with either concert.

Ok, fess up-- who here thought that WASP (no, I'm not typing the periods) were cool the first time around?

Allow me to emphasize my post with a found image.

My hand is in the air.

I also thought the following were cool the first time around:

Motley Crue
Cinderella
Tesla
Posion
Ratt
Bullet Boys
LA Guns
Dokken
Whitesnake
Quiet Riot
Twisted Sister

Right Bower, kudos for replying. I was only a fan of one of those bands (Whitesnake) for a very brief time, but hey, we all like what we like, right?

Hope the show is awesome.

Well hey, I was in middle school in the mid-80s when these bands were kickin' tons of ass. What was I supposed to be listening to? Born in the USA? Cuts Like a Knife? My mom's Fleetwood Mac albums? My dad's Jethro Tull albums?

Those bands were too cool for school. And I thought I was too.

I read the Maximum Ink article, and apparently, W.A.S.P. doesn't do "Animal" or similar aggressive, negative material anymore. Blackie says it's because of his faith.
