What bands are you hoping local promoters will get to Madison this year. I’ll start with my list which is entirely too long, but actually filled with bands that are likely touring this year and could be booked in our town:

The Riverboat Gamblers
Off With Their Heads
Dillinger Four
Mastodon
High On Fire
The Melvins
The Lawrence Arms
The Tim Version
Brutal Knights
Star Fucking Hipsters
Les Breastfeeders
Pig Destroyer
Reigning Sound
Valient Thorr
The Heroine Sheiks
Weedeater
The Black Lips
Toxic Holocaust
Electric Eel Shock
Akimbo
The Dwarves
Jay Reatard
The Copyrights
The Arrivals
The Methadones
Racebannon
King Khan
Harvey Milk
The Street Dogs
Disfear
Lair of Minotaur
Underground Railroad to Candyland
Big Business
Iron Lung
The Supersuckers
Torche

but above all getting one of those Jesus Lizard reunion shows in Madison. C’mon Tag or someone, that shit will sell out the Barrymore.

I double second that one or the KK & BBQ Show if he is still doing that. Seeing those guys at the High Noon would rule. Or maybe the Union Terrace although I did not include WUD in the attention line.

KK & the Shrines are coming thru the midwest in May ... Chicago & MPLS ... and on a weekend. There's a possibility there may be a chicago road trip.

Bands that I haven't seen before but really would like to:

* Presidents of the USA
* Firewater
* Superdrag
* The Eames Era
* Taxpayer

Bands that I have seen before, maybe several times, but would like to see again since I'm moving to the middle of nowhere soon:

* Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer
* The Long Winters
* Minipop (never played Madison, I think)
* Tokyo Police Club
* Nada Surf
* Harvey Danger

Valient Thorr and Early Man are playing the Stage Door on April21...Droids Attack open.

It's the same night as The Giraffes at the Frequency...which is an awesome show as well.

Seconded. Missed them when they opened for Los Lonely Boys a couple years ago, but a trusted friend of mine raved about the show.

Their live DVD makes me sweat.
