Sonny Rollins was born in NYC before either Bruce or Howard hit the zygote stage (from which Stern still has yet to emerge).

Do your research before you try to crack wise, eh?

sure sonny is from new york, but his whole identity isn't built around his east coast roots. plus, he's black, which still makes him a novelty act around these parts.

kind of like clyde and Richard Davis, eh? I define "novelty" as white boys playing reggae...Sonny Rollins definitely ain't novelty, son. Bruce, on the other hand, is simply passe.

Anyone think theres a chance that Bruce might show up at the Club Tavern after his show to play with John Eddie? I know he's done it in Jersey.

john eddie is in town?
that could happen, though bruce hasn't been doing any extracurricular appearances on this tour so far, nor has he had any guests onstage with him.

last night in chicago was a great show. anyone scared off from going on saturday because of the venue shouldn't worry. the sound is perfect at these shows and somehow it feels as intimate as a club show.

No shit.

Rollins in one round.

Oh, and I'd listen to Sonny before Bruce any time.

Hell, I'd probably listen to former NBA player Tree Rollins before I'd listen to Bruce.

At least I'd have something else to concentrate on besides the music, for sure.
