Rosario's: renovation or removal?

Rosario's: renovation or removal?

Postby rabble » Wed Dec 21, 2011 4:44 pm

So, what's going on with Rosario's in Monona? The building's covered in plastic, as though maybe somebody's dealing with asbestos removal.

I suppose one of these times I should pull in and see if there's a sign up there saying when it'll come back, if ever, but I thought maybe someone here might have a clue for me.

I heard Ross is done. His son runs the pizza biz in the lower level.

Closed a while ago. Salad Creations is renovating and will open in the space. Rossi's Pizza moved down the road a bit.

Rossi's pizza still exists, at 4503 Monona Dr. (thank God!)

Last I heard, a Salad Creations is going in at the former Rossario's:

That is too bad. He had probably the brightest marinara and most satisfying lasagne in town.

That was my first experience with spaghetti on the board. Some good memories. Saturday prime rib, too.

But we both thought the last time we ate there, things looked a little run down. Like somebody didn't really care any more.

Isn't there some Madison newspaper that does a column where one can request recipes? I would really like to know how he made his red sauce.
