Palmyra Mediterranean

Palmyra is a new Mediterranean place on Frank Lloyd Wright Ave where Bean Sprout's was. Haven't tried it yet but the menu looks good.

I stopped by last week when I saw they were open. It's affiliated with the Shish Cafe on University and the menu is similar but with several new options. The falafel and hummus were just as good as the mothership's and the Moroccan tomato basil soup suggested to me by the server was well worth trying. It will definitely be a regular stop for me.

I love middle eastern food.

I've heard spectacular things about The Shish.

And yet I've had two of the worst dining experiences of my life there. As in "my halibut was frozen in the middle, burnt on the outside" and "someone's lipstick on my silverware" bad experiences.

Given the fact that I've been miserable there and everyone I knwo ahs loved it, I'm led to think that Shish maybe has a bit of a consistency problem?

Is Palmyra looking better in that department?
