Chinese?

Where are you eating and what do you think? What's opening, closing, succeeding, failing?

Those are authentic Chinese dishes. You may not like them. A lot of things are authentic Chinese that you might not like. Pig intestines, for example. I generally draw the line at duck feet.

Ground is not authentic, although popular in almost all Chinese restaurants in the US. I have ordered sweet/sour duck and pork both in Hong Kong. They do not bread or grind either. Duck soup is also popular in Hong Kong.

China is a very big place. There are at least as many types of Chinese food as there are European foods.

Taiwanese and Sichuan recipes use minced and ground pork, for example.

Also, there is a question as to how far back one goes to be authentic. For example, tomatoes came from the Andes, but many authentic Italian recipes use tomatoes.

Yeah, well Roy was just given that. How's #pronoun to know the fine details? Perhaps #pronoun just means authentical (à la Colbert Report).

And this whole New World/Old World talking point is just a cover for left-wing reality-based thinking, anyway.

What, Caesar didn't bleed tomato juice, now??

Better enjoy the Asian places before the immigration raids come.

More than 50 detained in immigration raids at Asian restaurants in Mississippi
http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-mis ... story.html

"The first call came Wednesday morning: Federal agents were raiding a Chinese buffet in the city of Pearl. Before long, word spread across Mississippi immigrant communities that agents were targeting a Hibachi grill in nearby Flowood and a sushi restaurant nearly 100 miles away in Meridian."
