Re: Another surprise for Boomers.

I just went through this with my Dad's place a few weeks ago. We took what we wanted, and donated what we could, but there was still a whole dumpster full of stuff that we just had to toss.

Kinda depressing to see the remains of a life in the trash like that, but there wasn't much else to be done.

Re: Andy Gronik for governor

Sure, I'd like to see more money in my paycheck. But unfortunately I agree it isn't a strategy for winning over anyone but state employees. And there aren't enough of us to win a statewide election.

4" so far at the airport this month. Much more at other parts of Dane co. Storms leave behind wind, flood damage http://www.channel3000.com/weather/storms-cause-damage-knock-out-power-in-southwestern-counties/590172348 Hell, I had 4" in my rain gauge on the west side just from last night.

What the hell, they think we are all commies anyways, so might as well name it the Karl Marx City-County Building.

I was just there over the weekend and there were lots of people in the store.

I love their selection of cheese, I'm gonna miss it... :(

I'm not a hoarder by any means, but I have accumulated a number of old gas cans with 2 inches of gas in them. It looks like the city will accept gas cans if empty, but how do you dispose of the gas? Answered my own question.... They'll accept gas and oil at Dane County Clean Sweep at the Dane Count...

We're selling my late father's house in Waukesha, the closing is this afternoon. We got a letter with the life story of the buyer along with the offer. It didn't make a damn bit of difference to us. We we would have sold it to Bashar Assad if the price was right...

Re: House hunting

The basement door is pretty clearly behind the refrigerator. The stairs that go up are visible in the front hall in the same picture, suggesting the logical place for the basement stairs is behind that yellow door. Sealing off the basement is weird and gives me questions. Most people like to check ...

The only area that I can easily think of that is less desirable is that area along Broadway that overlooks the beltline. There's one for sale there now . It's just a terrible location. Broadway Ave in front. A highway in back. Boats cruising by just outside your back door. Look at picture 3. In the...
