Yes, it happened to me. A person who never bothered to keep in touch, while even having common friends, became my "friend" on Facebook. That person has never posted a message for me, though.
Other than, that it was been mostly positive to reconnect with people from high school and college.

I'd say Scanner Dan is a State Street regular. I confess to being concerned when (in rare occasions) many days go by and I don't see him in front of Einstein's.
Although he is also somewhat regular in the East Mifflin area. I've seen him in summer sitting by the Market Basket.

yes, I saw a guy with a cat around his neck walking on State St maybe about 5-6 months ago. it was the only time I saw him. It caught my attention because he was walking with a cat in public (a rare sight), no leash, and for the cat it seemed like the most normal thing in the world.

I think it's South Carolina...the motto in their license plates is "in God we trust" ( or something to that effect, I haven't seen one since June or so). But it made me think of what does separation of church and state mean. It could be God in a non church-specific sense, but I'm guessing ...

If you are trying to get business, instead of marketing self-defense, market that women will get to hit things. It's a great work out and stress reliever. That's your hook. If you are really trying to get women to learn to defend themselves, and not just cooking up business, start encouraging women...

It would be awesome to live with those cats.
We should probably give them names. And that would probably mean a new thread.

I was wondering if anybody knows more about the Center for Consumer Freedom and who backs it up. I briefly checked out their website, which is http://www.activistcash.com Apparently, their goal is to "unmask" non-profits such as Greenpeace, PETA, Sierra Club, Humane Society of the US, etc....

They also have easy to make (just mix and put in microwave for 2 minutes) Pad Thai, Satay, and Kung Pao Noodles.

It's easier to find stuff there when it isn't as crowded.
