Re: What could you eat every day?

Have you ever done a nice blue with a tawny port? I have with a zin, but not a tawny port. Thanks for ...

Re: Can Donald Trump Pardon Himself?

The Trump family will walk away from this with the power of a mid-sized country, laughing. I don't know when that will be, other than on or before 2020, but none of them will ever face charges. You're probably right, but we've seen so much strangeness over the last year that I believe just about an...

Re: "15 Things Americans Would Know if There Were a 'Liberal Media'"

I owe my COPD to being asthmatic and smoking pot every single day for about 15 years. I was lucky, as I quit and have been at stage one for 25 years. I do miss it at times.

Re: Single Payer or Bust: Canada's system

Yeah... That is pretty awesome. It's encouraging to know that other governments treat their citizens like humans instead of consumers. We just have to imagine like that's possible here. It isn't. Sorry. But it isn't possible here. America is no longer the shining example. It's the cautionary tale. ...

^^And they can be removed prior to soaking if you know a lot of rain is on the way.

Re: Apple Store currently downloading Hilldale update

I walk from UW (comp sci) to the hilldale, or the opposite, area 3-5 times a week... It is a nice form of excercise. Only takes about 50-60 minutes. Enough time for a podcast or two. Good on you! Do you B-cycle back? Or bus? Or — whoa — do you do a 5+-mile round trip in 50-60 minutes? In which case...

Did I say she was a victim? Do you "blame" Madison's police chief for every officer-involved shooting?

Re: Wet basements

Mine is, except there was a little trickle of water that got in from the previous 4-inch rainstorm. Cleaning out a clogged downspout cured that problem.
It's a constant challenge to keep basements dry around here, especially this year.
