Re: Winter arrives

Still staying with a friend. Insurance says check is in the mail for replacement furnace and two water heaters. Have no idea why they took so long other than they were debating leaving the old furnace (now running but tech says should be replaced). Anything that has been under water should be repla...

Re: Winter arrives

I heard it on the news or saw it some place. Don't remember where. I'm thinking perhaps amount of snow on this date. I shrugged it off, as I remembered all the drifts I had to walk through on my way to school. If it's for the date, it's possible. January's claim to fame is more about how cold it ge...

What is? The amount of snow on this date? Or the lack of snow so far this winter (up to yesterday)?

Re: Super Bowl

In 1958, just as the NFL was beginning to garner a lot of attention, the Baltimore Colts defeated the New York Giants for the NFL Championship. The game was televised nationally, and is credited with putting the NFL on the sports table of America. Although it was the 26th NFL Title game, it was the...

Re: Roy's Whereabouts

Well, he has a serious chronic illness, has been sick with things that are very, very bad for someone who depends on supplemental oxygen to have, with deteriorating living conditions.
So I'm thinking he's not around....because he's left the building.

Roy's Whereabouts

Back on January 2nd, Roy had no working furnace and 2-3 feet of water in the basement. Not a peep since. Hope he's OK.

in any case it seems like it would a step, step and a half, or two down for ms winfrey, who obviously can get lots done right where she is, and given the choice, who would want the aggravation? so unfortunate, but apparently so true . . . work with gates to wipe out malaria or something similar on ...

Re: A different approach?

No, you piece of shit, what's unacceptable is siding with Nazis. It's not like we don't know for a fact that literal Nazis endorsed the President or that the President argued there were "good people" who were on their side. So go fuck yourself, you fucking Nazi sympathizing fuckwad. You'r...

Re: Why did Hillary lose?

And if Trump was willing to blow smoke up their ass, while the other side says "you have to accept that your good-paying jobs are gone forever" which pied piper are the people going to follow? I'm much more inclined to believe that one than the robot theory. I still say the maps are sort ...

Re: Paul Soglin for governor

Seems to be a trend... 58% of the job growth in Wisconsin from 2006-2016 happened in Dane County too. AGAIN, the question was WHY! WHY does it seem to be a trend? It's a great place to live, work, and raise a family. The culture embraces progressive values that appeal to millenials and young profes...
