Re: Blair Street Brew & BBQ

While I've barked at TBP many times here, I've never found fault with any of his reviews. I'm also shocked at the business's response. As a restaurant owner here in Madison, there is no excuse for that response, unless you know cash will rain from the skies because of your skill, hard work, and your...

Re: Gyros, Burrito, and Ribs

Diggitys, my restaurant located inside Pooley's Sports Bar on the far Eastside, is now offering gyros. Hand cut, our own cucumber sauce, thin cut onions, fresh cut roma tomatoes piled into a hot garlic-slathered pita....I'll put mine against anyone in town.

Re: Grampa gives up his guns, surrenders to pizza

I stopped to get a number from the window of the former Batch Bakery site, it only has an email address...I hate that, enough to not contact them...But we are looking for a second location for Diggitys Chicago-Style dogs and beefs...

Re: Grampa gives up his guns, surrenders to pizza

I'm curious about the logic behind spending tall cash to create a food service space in that location when there is an existing pizza location available two blocks away.

Re: Local Chili Competitions & Secret Ingredients

Ground beef. Onions. Green peppers. Garlic. Dark kidney beans. Tomato sauce. Spices. This is what I consider to be a great chili, and so do the droves of diners that wolf down over three gallons a day. Come to Diggity's (inside of Pooleys Sports Bar) and try it yourself. Also, I would love to host a...

Re: Noooooooooo! Big Red's!

That place will be missed. As a side note, folks here might want to visit their favorite spots a bit more often; a visit every couple of months from half of the people who claim to love a joint would really help a small restaurants bottom line, hopefully helping them stay open...

Re: Uncle Charlie's or Dirty Joe's Nitrate Hut

A small update from Diggity's...we now sell gyros, big, fat, greasy hand cut gyros...quite possibly the best in town...come in and let me know. They aren't on the menu yet, still doing a little tweaking, just wink at your server.

Re: Rating restaurants on how they treat their employees

As a Madison restaurant owner with 16 employees, I too question many aspects of this study, as well as their assumptions of facts. The service industry is a difficult one to profit from, especially when just starting. I recognize how hard my staff works and do my best to help in many ways not listed...

Re: What coupons work for you?

If Fennel doesn't care for it, I must be doing something right. But seriously, I'm approached by 5 or 6 "social" or web based ad companies a week....I should get someone better attuned to recent tech savy-ness to assist me I guess, as I have only a general theory on what twitter is.

What coupons work for you?

I'm planning some advertising for my restaurant, Diggity's (located inside Pooleys), and I'd like to hear what you folks think. I'm a huge fan of using coupons, as I get to see what exactly the response is. Our current ads include $2 and $5 off any food bill, buy one get one, and buy one get one hal...

Madison Craft Beer Week

Just a little self-promotion here...Pooley's will be hosting the cask ale tasting on Sat May 5th. http://www.madbeerweek.com/kick-off" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Diggity's, the fancy-pants hot dog stand inside of Pooley's, will be offering some wursts of the best kind to accompany...
