Re: Aliens: Colonial Marines

I'm going to get it before even looking at the reviews. Well its been 4 years since this post, and Colonial Marines finally came out. http://penny-arcade.com/report/editorial-article/aliens-colonial-marines-is-an-unfinished-ugly-mess" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and its on the lis...

Re: Blunt, Shipley, and other TDPF Alum

I left on a high note, with a tribute to Ace Hunter . I withdrew, on purpose, from The Daily Page after moving because I wasn't in Madison anymore and wanted to try to make a life for myself in my new city, Washington DC. Dwelling on my 6 years in Wisconsin seemed counterproductive as I started a ne...

Re: Nobel honors Obama, right freaks

Ace Hunter deserves the award more than Obama

Image

It devalues the award terribly if all you need to do to win it is just not be George Bush for 8 months. Deeds, not words.

Re: Just finished...

its a toss up between 360 and PS3 at this point honestly. You can get a Pro 360 for $250, or the PS3 for $300 w/ blu ray player. If you haven't entered this generation yet still, then I don't think it matters because theres more than enough content on both systems to keep you occupied for the next 3...

Re: Alice Cooper on Vampire Weekend

So what if Cooper likes to golf in his spare time? Ever see him live? He brings it. The spectacle, the music, the attitude, everything. That's where it counts. He's not sporting plaid pants and a sleeve of Top Flites onstage. That is the point he's making. Junior Talking Heads Lite be damned. Exact...

Re: Disney buys Marvel

The only thing worse than this is if Warner Bros bought DC comics. ..oh no! That happened 40 years ago! Marvel is so deep in licenses (virtually none to Disney) that it will be literally decades before Disney has any kind of control over their non-comic output. And they've got not reason to change t...

Re: Star Cinema complaint

I saw D9 in a theater that would make Star looks like Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Stepping out of the unsettling alien slum into an unsettling human slum felt like a good way to cap off the night really...

Seriously, the last 3 movies I saw at Star were IMAX, and I didn't see anything wrong there.

Re: Did you really think it was over with Favre?

front page of Washington Post Express this morning says "Favre quits Retirement for Vikings"

Michael Vick is having a tea party to celebrate people not talking about him coming back for a little bit.

In other sports news, the guy Donte Stallworth hit with his Bentley is still dead.

I wasn't referring to that comment, but his username indicates he still can't let go of the OJ thing Or maybe OJ is short for Orange Juice. or maybe thats his nickname or initials. Or maybe its just a user name has nothing to do with the OJ you're thinking of. If anyone is having trouble letting go...

Not really. I didn't know you are black, and I found a lot of the stuff you've said pretty ridiculous.

And race can have a lardass, do-nothing son. for instance, my mother is white...

Re: MG & E's monopoly and extraneous fees

good advice. we have about six tvs, but (none of them plasmas, maybe two going at the same time), about three or four video game systems and two PCs and some cable boxes. So not much, really. We even do our laundry one day a week. We are very concious of the high bill. I can hardly wait to move as ...
