Re: Crossfit Games

I'm basically with Igor on this. And I'm a person who actually has done Crossfit for about three years now. I love a lot of things about Crossfit: the intensity of the workouts, the variety of the movements, and the results I've seen in myself. But there are also things I don't love, one of them bei...

Re: To 'The Gotch'

Historically, putting someone on ignore hasn't been all that effective since people insist on using the quote function to exhume what should be buried, but with The Crotch it has worked pretty well since there seems to be very little need to quote or repeat anything that he says. Highly recommended!

Yeah, no rules are violated, but you and Shorty seem to have some deep empathy deficit. Whether it be a helicopter crash, suicide, or natural disaster, you just don't seem to give a shit aside from being chuffed you could start a thread about it.

Re: Stormy weather ahead

I'm fascinated by this $130k. What kind of negotiation process ends with 130 being the magic number? Why not 125? Or 50 or 500? What kind of economic considerations go into a number like $130,000. Ultimately, I guess, Stormy decided she was low-balled. And not for the first time, either, I suppose.

Re: subtropical storm alberto

Thanks for the link, gozer. I'd never heard of the "Brown Ocean Effect", makes me wonder if, in 50 years' time, we might start to see category 1/2 hurricanes arrive on our upper-midwest doorstep.
