Re: afp: North Korea says conducted 'successful' H-bomb test

Trump called all 100 Senators to the White House for a briefing on North Korea.

Not sure why the NY Times and other big American news sources aren't covering this.

Way to get this back on topic!!!!!

Ha! I assure you, it was quite unintentional.

Re: Earth Day, April 22

The March for Science was remarkable not just that tens of thousands of people came out. Its really the first time that I can remember that actual scientists came out to make a political statement. Is that newsworthy? ABC’s This Week, CBS’ Face the Nation, and NBC’s Meet the Press failed to mention...

Re: Judy Faulkner's Incredible Pledge

If you are deliberately misleading, you get the reply you deserve. As I mentioned in an earlier thread, Epic's non-compete clause did not just cover competing with Epic, which is hard enough to enforce, but also to companies which USE Epic products, and that Epic would refuse to do business with tho...

Re: Earth Day, April 22

1970 was 47 years ago. What about these more recent predictions? Let me hazard a prediction. This winter will be very cold, and 2017 very very cold. That was Dec. 2015. In reality winter 2015-2016 was the 4th warmest in Wisconsin's history, and winter 2016-2017 was pretty much the same. Nice try, t...

Re: Judy Faulkner's Incredible Pledge

You already said you wouldn't read my old posts. If you won't read my old posts, which have the answers to the questions, why do you waste everyone's time asking the same questions over and over and over? The answers to your questions have already been posted. If you read those posts and still have ...

Re: Earth Day, April 22

1970 was 47 years ago. This will come as a great shock, but science advances. Science has been advancing faster than ever recently, and climate science has been advancing extremely fast. 47 years before the Atomic Bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, scientists didn't even know the structure of the atom. ...

Re: Earth Day, April 22

The disaster movie one is my favorite of the bunch. Some of the great one's I've seen elsewhere included: Protest sine protest cosine What do we want? Science based policy! When do we want it? As soon as it is peer reviewed! Here are a few other good ones: https://www.buzzfeed.com/tamerragriffin/mar...

Re: Judy Faulkner's Incredible Pledge

So far the defenses I've seen for Judy Faulkner's unethical practices have been: She's rich! Uh, yes, she's rich. And her unethical practices helped her get rich. You're just jealous. Completely irrelevant. Maybe I am to some degree, maybe she should be jealous of the life I've led. That doesn't exc...

Re: Judy Faulkner's Incredible Pledge

If you were to go back and look at my earlier posts on this thread, I mentioned exactly which provisions in the non-compete were illegal, and what tactics Epic used to enforce this agreement. HINT: They didn't use the courts, because they would lose. They used strong arm tactics against any company ...

Re: "The End of Capitalism has Begun"

It is possible to have a prosperous society where citizens are treated with dignity, rather than considered interchangeable parts to be discarded when it is economically beneficial to the wealthy to discard them. For example, Switzerland is an extremely prosperous country, with a much smaller homele...

Re: Judy Faulkner's Incredible Pledge

I did also mention a probably illegal clause in the non-compete agreement. I am not sure if that agreement is still in force, but I did see the incredible hardship that caused some of my neighbors in the past. A local writer did publish an article once showing how that non-compete agreement did a gr...

Re: Judy Faulkner's Incredible Pledge

There appear to be some issues with your reading comprehension, ymbj. Epic has a wide reputation for age discrimination. Age discrimination is not a crime. It is a civil offense. And it is very difficult to prove. Bering a civil matter, it would make no sense for someone to bring it to the D.A. And,...
