Re: Car thieves

Did you ever have a car that you wish to get stolen? I once had a car stolen. It was right in front of my brother-in-law's house in Brooklyn, NY. Right in front. Stolen overnight. The cop I talked to said that was a neighborhood with a heavy Mafia presence, that the car was already in a chop shop, ...

Re: NFL draft

Ted's plan works out most of the time. MOST of the time.

It just would've been nice to have T.J. as a Packer. If he winds up anything close to his brother, he will have a great career.

Re: NFL draft

No, they didn't take T.J. Watt. IF they had held on to their pick, they could've had him, but nooooooooo, they had to trade away their pick and let the Steelers get him.

It just would've been so nice to have a Watt play his entire career from kiddie football to NFL in Wisconsin.

Re: Crazy legs

Weather conditions bother the elite runners.

I ran the crazy legs once. Cool and windy were features, rather than bugs, for a runner of my capabilities.

Re: Surprise! Surprise! Trump Tax Plan to Benefit Trump & the Mega rich

The source? It's a right-wing talking point, so how could it possibly NOT be true? Be more careful next time, Beaver. I mean, has Roy EVER come out with a wild assertion that turned out not to be true? Beat it Troll! Boy, is Roy grumpy! I come out and defend him, and he goes  on ...

Re: Grading Trump's First 100 Days

Trump has basically had two victories -- getting a Republican into the Supreme Court and being scary enough that far fewer illegal aliens are entering the country, and some appear to be leaving. The first one was pretty much all the work of Mitch McConnell Imagine an NFL game, 4th quarter. Dems get ...

Re: Earth Day, April 22

Something interesting. Various left-wing posters, including myself, have condemned the violence of Antifa and other left-wing groups. This violence usually involves fisticuffs, but has been known to include vandalism, bottles, rocks and sticks. On the other hand, when faced with violence by both rig...

I also work at home about 75-80% of the time, and in California the rest of the time. Makes sleep, um, interesting.

Re: Grading Trump's First 100 Days

I saw an article in the NY Daily News this morning, which says they might use reconciliation to pass the tax cut. "We think reconciliation is the preferred process, it's the most logical process," House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said in a Wednesday morning press conference. Except using r...

Re: Grading Trump's First 100 Days

Well, in my news reading this morning, I'm hearing that the GOP deficit hawks may be OK with this. It's not as simple as deficits are OK now that it's not Obama. Oh no, they're peddling the tax cuts will cause so much economic growth that it really won't increase the deficit bullshit. What a load o...

Re: Grading Trump's First 100 Days

I've noticed something. Normally whenever there is a thread involving politics, the handful of right-wingers on this forum jump in. For this thread, not a peep. In theory there is the chance that the right-wingers, every one of them, decided not to post on politics. More likely, this thread is very ...

Re: Sheriff David Clarke - Milwaukee's evil clown who wields the power of life vs. death

Pretty clear violation of the 8th Amendment. Actually, this is murder by torture. Somebody needs some long, hard prison time out of this. I would expect a very large civil suit as well. And Clarke MUST be removed from office. If he is so out of touch with his own jail as to not know this is happenin...
