Re: Your favorite vehicle

I had a 67 mustang convertible that I LOVED! when you got going fast enough on the highway, suddenly the ashtrays would self-empty! I am not a mechanic, and with little income at the time, I sold it. I bought a 93 jeep wrangler for about 10k, that thing was so dependable! A bit chilly in the winter,...

It takes the 50 minutes to go one way. I have a bus pass, so I will usually bus the other way.

It is a nice form of excercise. Only takes about 50-60 minutes. Enough time for a podcast or two.

Hooray for apple moving there, hopefully it wont affect the graphite shop nearby, they are nice guys.

Re: What Happened to the Humongous Manufacturing Plant Trump Promised?

I am assuming it might be the potential opening of the FOXCONN plant. Foxconn manufactures iphones and android phones I believe.

It is not a definite, but we are in the running.

Re: Mark Tauscher for Governor

I've got a nice story about the guy. I was touring the Kohl Center as a chaperone with my elementary school son at the time. We were down where the athletes get physical therapy and such, I was leaning against the wall, there was this dude with slightly longish hair hanging out, and when he walked b...

Re: Why Are You Here?

I cant really remember what first brought me here.

Although I was living in London at the time, around 2001ish, and I think I logged in to keep in touch with my hometown and news here.

Been visiting pretty much daily ever since.

Re: St Patrick's day parade

The last St Patrick's Day parade I attended was in LaCrosse in the early seventies. We were in the car and got caught in the street closure for the parade. They shut the street down, waited till the parade passed, and let us go. We were the first car in line so we got front row seats, out of the wi...

I agree with Paleolib, It says I got them all, but I guessed on a few.

(they were mostly pretty obvious though, with easily discarded choices in many).

Dublin was very nice. We stayed in Clontarf to the north of Dublin. We were in Clontarf castle to be specific, it was a really nice place. We could walk into the center of town in about an hour. Lots of great stuff to do, went to some nearby fishing villages by train and had nice seafood. People wer...

Re: Tropical vacations

While not necessarily what you were thinking of, I spent 5 days at Disneyworld staying on site. It was mainly for the kids, but I have to say that I was more impressed than I thought I would be. We stayed at the Animal Kindon Lodge and had zebras and Giraffes right outside our balcony. The kids had ...

Re: New Year's Eve

I, and my family will be at Folklore Village, we seem to be going every year for the past bunch!

We spend the night, and actually, Mrs Kissyfish and the little fishes stay out there for 3 nights prior (at a hotel in Dodgeville).
