Re: You people and your cameras

Now that was kinda funny.

On a side note, after I posted this I noticed that the other user browsing this forum was Beaver. And I get a reply from Shorty shortly after.

Re: You people and your cameras

Is this the kind of compelling internet content you watch all day? A 66 second clip where the "action" is over by the :08 mark.

Next up: A particularly interesting toilet flush, including the 35 second refill cycle.

Re: Random thoughts

I hate walking dogs. There, I admit it. I am a total dog person (as in, I love dogs...not that I'm part dog) and though we no longer have dogs, we occasionally watch them for friends. I look forward to this until I have to walk them. I have no patience for the stop N go process of the 20-second snif...

Re: House hunting

The butterflies ! It's so obvious now that I feel foolish for having even posted the question. Also, that outlet cover next to the kitchen sink looks pretty fresh too. If I was a smarter and more successful person I would be in a position to pay cash for something like this, then spend the summer fi...

Re: House hunting

For 64K in Madison I would expect nothing more than what it offered here, but can anyone tell me what "numerous updates in recent years" have been done?? https://www.starkhomes.com/property/237812493/1317-loftsgordon-ave-madison-wi-53704 Possibly the carpet in the LR ? Maybe some updated w...

Re: Stop Gentrification on Johnson

- I'm kind of laughing (out loud) at the comment re "traditional sized windows" (I am not sure exactly what size that is By traditional sized windows I'm pretty sure he meant windows that are IN a wall as opposed to windows that ARE a wall. Made sense to me, anyway What Sno said. but just...

Re: Stop Gentrification on Johnson

Without "gentrification" we wouldn't have most of what draws people to areas like Atwood/Willy, Monroe, E Wash, Park St... If you'd like to go back to a pre-gentrified Atwood Ave you would still have your choice of bars and churches, but not a lot else. You could get dinner at Bud's East, ...

Am I the only one who finds madison.com's preoccupation with closed businesses a bit odd? https://host.madison.com/wsj/entertainment/dining/restaurants/new-photo-gallery-madison-area-restaurants-you-ll-never-eat/collection_4589675e-51d6-56df-8190-efffda7e06d7.html#7 This is part 5 of Restaurants You...

Re: House hunting

Yeah, I just like the original tile I guess. The toilet is way to close to the wall for my liking. Here's a contrast in styles. Edgy and modern on the outside but the inside can't decide if it's a farmhouse or my Aunt's place. https://www.starkhomes.com/property/235535873/115-dale-dr-oregon-wi-53575

Re: Anthony Bourdain

I hesitantly agreed to watch some of his shows a few years ago and being someone who couldn't care less about food, I was pretty sure they weren't going to take for me. I was wrong. The guy tells (told) the story of a place beautifully, with a little grit and a laid back style that seemed honest and...

I'll stick by my original statement unless or until more info comes out about the crew and their conduct.

Re: House hunting

You either REally want to move, or possibly have to, to consider selling your house on Monroe St right now. https://www.starkhomes.com/property/235730703/3008-monroe-st-madison-wi-53711 As a buyer I'd be looking for a pretty sweet deal to face the logistics of moving in during construction. Re: Windsurfer

I'm going to guess that the crew of that boat did not set out that day to kill someone and that the mental sentence that they are serving, probably every day since, is sufficient punishment. They were not drunk and partying, they were manning a rescue boat and that probably makes it even harder for ...

I tried to search for his home "Literra" but found nothing except maybe this page which shows some Wright apprentice homes. Any look familiar?
