Re: Southern European wine regions

I spent a month in France with my Family September-October 2009. We explored all Provence regions together with Cote d'Azur and really enjoyed fine French wines! Probably you should consider Bordeaux for red wines. Actually for me wines were good and affordable everywhere in France. The only problem...

Re: What could you eat every day?

Homemade kebab! So simple and tasty. The most difficult (long part) is to marinate for one night chicken meat in yogurt with spices. The next day you just have to cook it in a frying pan with a cover, put it to a pita bread or whatever bread you like, add fresh veggies and voala!! Really g...

Re: Netflix and Amazon Prime Finds

I have recently finished watching Black Mirror series on Netflix and can definitely recommend it. Interesting point is that the third season was fully financed by Netflix. I usually don’t watch series because if too good turns out time consuming. But this one is not so annoying: only 12 series lasti...

Re: Random thoughts

I wonder if posters, posting between 12 AM and 6 AM, are all insomniacs... I mean what are these people doing up all night?... That's not so strange for me. Sometimes I come back from work so exhausted and I want to have a nap immediately. Then (of course) I wake up around midnight and :wtf: ... he...

Re: Ireland

I have seen interesting reactions to Americans in both Europe and Asia. I lived in Asia for a while, and some Asians go nuts around Americans. My brother speaks Russian, so a later time when he was in China he would pretend to be Russian so people would leave him alone, since the Chinese don't much...

Re: Random thoughts

Did you know that the Japanese have this doll with white eyes named Daruma? It's sold everywhere as a souvenir and in Japan people believe that Daruma brings luck, also it helps to set and achieve goals. Once you have a goal in life you should paint one eye. When the goal is achieved you can paint a...

Husband: OK then, I'll keep her. HS woman: Fine. Here's the paperwork to start the adoption process. Husband: What? No, I'll just take her back. HS woman: You can't, she's already been checked in. Husband: Lady, this isn't the first time I've stolen this cat today. And he grabbed Monster, now ensco...

Re: Ever have a bad neighbor?

Haven't had that bad neighbors since college times! Now the only trouble is that the neighbor's cat eats my cat's food on the porch. But we all kind of cat-friendly and don't mind :)

Re: Ireland

The Irish people were very friendly. They liked Americans back in 02. Now? Who knows? I haven't been in Ireland though I was in many countries in Europe including England, and must note that people there (in all Europe) are really friendly and helpful, yeah they say they do have some national jokes...

Re: Tropical vacations

I would love to go to some tropical country for let's say half a year. A Canadian friend of mine spends every winter in Vietnam, Nha Trang. She works online and it doesn’t matter if she stays in snowy Canada or on the beach of Vietnam. She says it's easy and cheap life there, pleasant weather (not t...
