Re: Blood on Their Hands= Wausau Shootings

In many cases the senseless firearm killings are committed by adults who suffer from schizophrenia. And that will become more of a problem since the NRA pushed Trump into overturning Obama's attempt to limit their possession by the seriously mentally ill. Not really. First of all, the NRA may have ...

Re: Blood on Their Hands= Wausau Shootings

Yes, the thousands of people killed by toddlers with cars and knives is a global disgrace. Yeah I know the Wausau shootings are not an example of that. I just like carrying the analogy to its logical conclusion. Or it's illogical one. 2015, the horrible year of toddlers with guns, involved 15 death...

Re: Blood on Their Hands= Wausau Shootings

4 dead. Guns are simply too easy to get, and the GOP wants to allow people to carry them onto buses, into schools etc. It's crazy! The people who are behind these easy guns laws have blood on their hands, not that that bothers them. Much like car and knife makers have blood on their hands in London...

Re: There's No England Now

True, we don't know anything for sure about the motives of the photographer. Roy is correct that I appear to be making assumptions about the motives of the photographer, which I should NOT do. I apologize for that. It does appear some observers have drawn conclusions based on the photograph with in...

Jonny, please stop with your inane armchair psychoanalysis of G-Man. G, please stop letting jonny's tiresome taunts provoke you. As the self-appointed Forum hall monitor, I'm going to tell the principal that both of you should be placed on double secret probation until you learn to play well with o...

Re: Weapons on Metro buses

Interestingly, perhaps more amusingly, the bus driver this morning told me that they "Mayor stepped up this morning and isn't going to allow guns on buses." I asked if this was some official word he had gotten, and he said no, just word of mouth among drivers. Ground control to rumor contr...

Re: Weapons on Metro buses

did they ever definitively determine if a spud cannon was a firearm or not? Depends upon where you are. A few state and local laws consider them to be firearms or destructive devices. New Jersey is one of them. Considering it's New Jersey, big surprise. There's a Wiki article that says they're lega...

Re: Weapons on Metro buses

So with regards to the buses, they are not buildings, they are vehicles, so the trespassing law does not authorize the city to prohibit inside buses. Honest question: are the bus shelters considered buildings? Madison posts them as if they are. Same goes for a roof on wooden poles over a picnic tab...

You may think the straws are short, but at least they are straws. Unlike the fabricated phantoms that you use.

Re: Weapons on Metro buses

Why is it okay for local and state government to prohibit guns in the City-County Building and the Capitol (respectively), but it's not okay to ban them on buses? Because of the way the state trespassing statute is written, in combination with the state law which preempts local regulation of firear...

Re: Weapons on Metro buses

I am so glad that I no longer live in Madison. Bus transportation was always my alternative to riding my bike, especially when the weather was rough. I wonder if the alternatives to using the bus to commute will increase... The City of Milwaukee's mayor and city council are as opposed to guns as mu...
