Re: Beginner Computer Classes

I don't know the cost, but over by Shopko (Monona) is a place called Neway Directions. It's a computer lab set up. Everyone works at their own pace, getting help from the instructors whenever they need it. You can even select the skills you want to learn and skip the ones you don't find important. Y...

Re: favorite movie?

"An American President" with Annette Benning and Michael Douglas.

Another good one is "Shining Through" with Melanie Griffith and Michael Douglas.

I do work for Cheesers but that doesn't mean my opinion is no good. My endorsement stands.

Re: Best Place to Buy a Suit

My husband wears a 50 Long. We recently went to Joseph A Banks and Mens Warehouse. The suits were cut better at J.A. Banks. The salesman really knew his stuff and he was very accomodating. Mens Warehouse seemed more like a cafeteria compared to J.A. Banks. I would recommend Banks. The prices were fa...

Re: WANTED--Fresh Ideas

To my cynical and suspicious friends...My teeth are white, my hair is fabulous and my garden is in the works. I also enjoy movies at Cinema Cafe in Stoughton where you can enjoy a pizza at your table during the movie. The assortment of cheese at Cheesers in Stoughton is incredible and delicious. The...

Re: WANTED--Fresh Ideas

Thanks friends! I took some of your advice but passed on the affair. Thanks but no thanks. I went to Johanssens Greenhouse and got some great advice for a small garden, decided to go with the highlights afterall, and got my teeth whitened at my dentist's office--First Choice Dental. A great little p...

WANTED--Fresh Ideas

There have just been too many gray days this spring. It's getting depressing! I'm craving change; change of all kinds. I'm rearranging furniture, contemplating highlights in my hair... Got any fresh ideas?

Dare I ask? What is an "eggburger"? It doesn't sound good.

Re: Chicago-Style Dogs & Beef

It doesn't take a lot of diverse menu items, lots of square feet, or fancy surroundings to have a profitable Chicago Style Dog restaurant. On River Road near the corner of River Rd. and Grand Avenue in Franklin Park Illinois (near O'Hare") is a very old, very busy, very profitable Dog spot call...

Great Chick Lit Becomes a Movie

My all time favorite author, Janet Evanovich's first book is being released as a movie on June 3. Imagine Ethel and Lucy as bounty hunters. You'll laugh until you pee...seriously, this is funny stuff. There are sixteen Stephanie Plum novels by Evanovich. I haven't recommended it to a girlfriend yet ...

Soccer Moms...lets protect our kid's noggins.

With the weather warming, soccer and other warm weather sports will be in full swing before long. This year my boys are considering soccer. I was okay with that. I always thought of soccer as safer than football and hockey--never giving safety equipment beyond shin guards much thought until my denti...

Re: St. Paddy's Day! What's on the Menu?

For all of you cabbage haters...you can't proclaim that you hate cabbage until you have had it roasted. This is the first year that I tried to prepare corned beef and cabbage. I wasn't even sure I liked cabbage other than cole slaw. At any rate, I was flipping stations one afternoon when I heard Rac...
