Re: They admit Russia meddled

KT (Troia) McFarland - Madison's contribution to the looney bin currently running this country. For more on this wack job, search "clinton helicopters, dying brother outed, father and repressed memories" and feel secure knowing that this kind of condition does not preclude a stint on the N...

Re: Worst supergroup ever

Sonny and Cher (only they did it backwards by being in a supergroup FIRST and THEN getting famous, though in Sonny's case, the fame came from a bad Congressional term and then a bad interaction with a tree.)

Re: Madison Night Club-Interns

There was a Mike Flynn with U.S. Pure who, I think, was the vocalist. The only other name I can associate with that band is Keith Powers.

Re: Election was hacked

Sorry, I thought the topic at hand might at least tangentially be the power of truth and the need for our oppositional organizing to live in it. But maybe we could find some rich funders and use the tea party model of organizing instead.

Re: Election was hacked

If you think that the malware on a free standing laptop that is not driving utility infrastructure is a big risk to the power grid, then the malware that exists on millions of computers NOW in and outside the United States poses that same risk. Regardless of your personal AV setup, there's a reasona...

Re: Election was hacked

I'm serious. If you think this was an act of war, you should unplug your laptop. The potential for damage is as great as was the Vermont case.

Oh, and John McCain has been a raving lunatic for about 2 decades.

Re: Election was hacked

OMG, the laptop was connected to the entire Vermont utility backbone by a power cord! Vermont gets a fraction of its power from Seabrook nuke plant! Everyone! Unplug your laptops right now!

Re: Courage to confidence, with Mary Burke

I started a too-long (three sentence) snarky response (indulging the very obvious references that you should be able to imagine yourself) but have decided, as a result of my new self-improvement goals, to pare it down to just this. "Are you kidding us?"

Fair warning on that little street that runs the length of Hilldale... only drive thru there if you have a good fifteen minutes. Between the unnecessarily large cars that will wait for five minutes for a potential open parking place (even though there are lots of spots around the corner) and spouses...

And don't forget that at one point, we were told that people were going to start marrying pieces of hardware or something. When does that start?

Re: The Hillary Clinton for President Thread

It's that time folks, actually long overdue. That Nader Blame certificate needs to be renewed. Have you noticed how little power it exerts when an attempt is made to use it as an excuse> Yup, time for a new one!
